Her YouTube channel, "Spirit Filled Kids" and radio podcast, "Healing Hearts And Souls" (airs on Christian Mix 106.com) are platforms where she shares her wisdom, encouraging other to embrace a balanced and vibrant life through faith and practical health tips.
I became a Christian as a child at a Christian summer Bible camp. After graduating high school in 1983, I rededicated my life to Christ through Young Life in Illinois.
At 18, I began exploring creative expression and later experienced my first movie production in Chicago, How Do You Like Me Now? (1992). The long hours and nights on set sparked a deeper interest in education and the creative arts.
After graduating in Occupational Therapy, my journey expanded into healthcare, professional sports, business ownership, and entrepreneurship. Over time, God reopened doors into Christian motion pictures, performing arts, commercials, voiceovers, television, creative arts, and live recordings.
Through every chapter, I’ve discovered that faith, creativity, and purpose can work together when we allow God to lead the journey.

From mission trips to navigating life’s unexpected storms, Dawn Ezelle’s journey reflects resilience, obedience, faith, and divine purpose. During an unexpected supernatural sabbatical, Dawn spent three days in a secluded log cabin chapel and another day in a prayer tower seeking God. During that time, she distinctly heard Him ask:
“Orphanage, are you ready?”
Nine months later, that question became reality. Dawn traveled on a medical mission trip to Casa Esperanza, House of Hope Orphanage, in Zacapa, Guatemala, during the unforgettable events surrounding September 11, 2001. What first seemed like an isolated spiritual encounter became part of a larger story of faith, obedience, service, missions, and purpose. Dawn’s testimony encourages others to trust God even when they cannot yet see where He is leading.
In 2001, I spent three days in a small log cabin chapel at Quiet Reflections in Burnsville, North Carolina, seeking God in a season of deep spiritual reflection. During that time, I experienced an angelic encounter with an boy in a wheelchair. I heard the voice of God. On the third day, 3 eagles appears at my window during prayer,
I heard Him say: “Orphanage, are you ready?”
I did not fully understand what those words meant at the time. But within months, the meaning began to unfold.
As the events of September 11, 2001, impacted the United States, I found myself on a medical missions trip to Zacapa, Guatemala, serving at Casa Esperanza, House of Hope, an orphanage caring for children in need. What began as three quiet days in a cabin became a divine appointment. I learned that sometimes God gives us the assignment before He gives us the explanation.
Faith requires us to say yes before we can see the whole journey.
That experience became part of my ministry story and continues to remind me that when God speaks, our responsibility is to listen, trust, and prepare to move when He says, “Go.”

In 2004, this unique path led me to write, journal and self-publish my first book, Cooking With The Holy Spirit. It was a journey filled with learning and many mistakes, but one that had shaped me in ways I could have never imagined today.

In 2010, I discovered my Jewish heritage in Jerusalem, Israel, and chronicled these experiences in my book, My Secret Place.
Unlike my earlier days as a high school journalist for the newspaper and yearbook. A profound learning journey.
At 50, God orchestrated one of the most significant moments of my life—learning to fly an airplane, a thrilling and profound experience. But the most heart-wrenching moments came in the aftermath of hurricanes Charlie, Rita, and Katrina during a mission trip. It was then that I realized how fragile life truly is and how much we depend on God and each other for goodwill and support.
